# IsValidSSN

# Function: isValidSSN()

> **isValidSSN**(`ssn`): `boolean`

Validates if a string is a valid SSN using Effect Schema.

## Parameters

### ssn

`string`

The string to validate.

## Returns

`boolean`

true if valid SSN, false otherwise.
